Twin Cities Wine Education presents a special night of amazing wines
Featuring an incredible range of rarely opened bottles including amazing Chateauneuf du Pape
The wines of the Southern Rhone were the first to bring me to tears, when I was handed a glass by a mentor in the early 1990’s. It was a Gigondas. I still remember how it smelled and how it made it me feel. Like any great wine, it brought more questions forward than answers (“How can this be?” is the main one.) I’ve been a Southern Rhone nut ever since.
There is no place like the Southern Rhone to bring out the details of the grand trifecta of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre, and in this very special class we will taste legendary wines from throughout the valley while learning about the history, culture, food, and personalities of the region.
This will be the most comprehensive Southern Rhone seminar ever offered in Minnesota, with rarities being served for tasting.
We will dive deep into information about every sub-region of the Southern Rhone: from humble Cotes du Rhone and Cotes du Rhone Village, to Tavel, Lirac, Gigondas, Vacquyras, and the revered Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The final section on Chateauneuf-du-Pape will be particularly comprehensive, discussing the terroir and geology of the region and wine style changes as a result of climate change.
This very special class has limited seating. Once it’s sold out, it’s sold out.
I hope you can join us and for this highly anticipated class.
